New Building Pathway Reconstruction

If you were with us in worship Sunday, May 12, you heard the news about the next phase of our “Building Up, Living It Out” Vision construction project – our new 12,000 sq. ft. Discipleship Ministries Center. If you weren’t with us, click here to watch a video of what was shared with the congregation.

The next major phase in construction involves the demolition and reconstruction of the pathway from our front tower down to the entrance to the Worship Center. The purpose of this is to bring the needed utilities to the Discipleship Ministries Center as well as to establish a compliant grade on the pathway, making the passage easier to walk. This phase will take approximately 4 weeks to complete.

Our temporary entry points to the Worship Center during this 4-week period are noted on the map (click here to view) and are located on the east side of the Worship Center.

If you normally park in the front (Willow/west) lot, you can use the map to find the suggested alternate walking route to the Worship Center, or you can just follow the cones on Sunday morning. In addition, if walking the new temporary route to the Worship Center is not something you feel comfortable doing, we will have golf carts picking up and dropping off at the locations noted on the map.

If you normally park in the back (east) lot, for your safety we will encourage you to use one of the golf carts that will be available in the back lot. However, there will also be an alternate walking route available on the south side of the Worship Center. Please stay in the coned pathway if you choose that route.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we all share in the joy of this new adventure!

Copies of our “Building Up, Living It Out” Vision brochure and visuals of the project are on display on the Lobby tables. To view the brochure online, or for more info about this project, visit our Building Up… webpage.

Hebrews 10:24-25
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Dietrich Bonhoeffer
“It is by the grace of God that a congregation is permitted to gather visibly in this world to share God’s Word and sacraments.  Not all Christians receive this blessing.  The imprisoned, the sick, the scattered lonely, and the proclaimers of the Gospel in heathen lands stand alone.  They know that visible fellowship is a blessing!  They remember, as the Psalmist did, how ‘they went with the multitude…to the house of God with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday’ (Psalm 42:2).  Therefore, let him who until now has had the privilege of living in common Christian life with other Christians praise God’s grace form the bottom of his heart!  Let him thank God on his knees and declare:  It is by grace, nothing but grace, that we are allowed to live in community with Christian brethren.”
