Vacation Bible School: The Journey to Candy Castle
June 23-27

This Summer, join us as we embark on The Journey to Candy Castle!

Candy Castle is in peril unless the Candy family returns in time to become its rightful heirs before the evil Lord Licorice and Spidora take over. Join the Duke of Swirl, his lovely wife, Lady Lolly, their daughter, Baby Ruth, and the nannies Kit and Kat as they embark on a journey requiring strength and courage to make it home. Will they get there in time?

This summer, we will learn what it means to be “Strong and Courageous” through the life of Joshua. Joshua placed his confidence in God and was able to walk into difficult situations with the strength and courage that comes from God alone. Join us on this adventure as we learn God’s Word: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend VBS?

Vacation Bible School is for kids entering Kindergarten through 6th Grade in Fall 2025. Kindergarteners must turn 5 before September 1. Nursery and Preschool registration is only available for children of VBS servant volunteers.

What will kids learn at VBS?

During VBS, we will be learning from the book of Joshua about being strong and courageous in the face of evil. Kids will memorize Scripture, play games, make crafts, watch skits, and most importantly, learn from the truths of God’s Word! To view a sample of what kids will learn, see last year’s lesson recap here.

What time should I drop off and pick up my child?

Please drop off your kids with their guides each morning of VBS, no earlier than 8:45 a.m. You will pick them up from their guide in the same location at 12:00 p.m.

Can I stay on campus and watch my child during the week?

To ensure a safe environment for all kids, we have a closed campus and require that all adult servant s are background checked. While parents are not able to sit in and watch during the week of VBS, we post our recap video and skits online afterwards!

My child has invited a friend who is in a different grade. Can they be in the same group?

Typically, we are able to honor friend requests within one grade difference. We have four teams with mini groups composed of the following grade groups: Kinder/First, Second/Third, Third/Fourth, and Fifth/Sixth grade. . While we do our best to honor friend requests, we cannot guarantee any placements. Registering early increases the likelihood of being able to accommodate your request. We are unable to accommodate friend requests after May 30.

Should my child bring a snack?

A healthy snack is provided each day. If your child has any allergies or special diet, you are welcome to send them with a snack! Please note that we are nut-free, so please do not pack any peanut or tree nut products.

My child has a disability or needs extra assistance. Will you provide a helper for them?

Yes! Our Heart of Jesus ministry assigns “buddies” to assist kids experiencing disability. If you would like to request a buddy for your child, please leave a note in the comments section of the sign-up form or contact the VBS team at vbstrinitycc@gmail.com. Do you have scholarships available for VBS?

If your family is experiencing hardship and is unable to pay the full cost of VBS, we have a limited number of scholarships available. To submit a request, please contact the VBS team at vbstrinitycc@gmail.com before completing the sign-up form.
