Wagon Train

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

In the book of John, we see Jesus define himself as “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). This summer we will study the book of John in a fun and creative way in order for all students to learn that the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus is the truth that we need to build our lives upon and that his Word, the Bible is the revealed truth from which we can learn to know, grow, and love God. His truth is the real Gold! Don’t be fooled by the fool’s gold!

WAGON TRAIN: $590 (families provide their own transportation)

Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world— to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” John 18:37-38

We live in a world where anything can be accepted as true and encourages us to define our own truth. Phrases such as “my truth,” “live your truth,” “do what’s true for you,” are used everyday. These phrases force us to ask, and answer, the question, “Is there such a thing as absolute truth?” And if there is, how does that affect our life?

This summer we are going to take a look at the life of Jesus through the book of John to see how Jesus himself defines truth. Our prayer as we study the book of John together is that we would respond with love and affection for Him and have a greater priority for and deeper understanding of the truth, His word.

Wildwood

“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-15, 20-21

When we understand the Truth of the Gospel and the love Christ has for us, His love compels us to share that Truth with everyone around us. This summer in Wildwood, we are going to challenge students to more fully understand the Truth of the Gospel, and our responsibility as disciples of Jesus, to make disciples. Students will be encouraged, equipped, and empowered to live missionally and engage in discipleship everyday.

Our hope and prayer is that students recognize their need to be transformed everyday by Truth of the Gospel through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, as we challenge them to not only have a global mission’s focus, but also one that is centered on the harvest at hand in their communities, empowering them to proclaim the Truth of the Gospel with those around them.
