Every man that responds to the Gospel call of Christ to follow Him, embarks on the same journey. That journey is filled with the fires of refining, mountaintop moments, valleys of shadows and glorious victories. It is a journey that lasts until our dying breath.
This is the path to Sanctification.
Sanctification does not happen by accident. God is at work conforming His people to the image of Christ, but He calls Christian men to pursue holiness with purpose—to take every thought captive, guard the affections of the heart, and discipline the will toward faithful obedience. At this year’s Men’s Conference, respected theologian and longtime professor Dr. Bruce Ware will open God’s Word and challenge us to consider the Mind of the Christian Man, the Heart of the Christian Man, and the Will of the Christian Man. Dr. Ware will share biblical truth aimed at forming men who think clearly, love rightly, and act courageously.
The conference will also give us practical help for the places where sanctification is fought out every day. We’ll have breakout sessions on developing godly friendships, cultivating spiritual disciplines, and handling trials. Former NFL quarterback David Carr will join us for a panel discussion on his journey in football and in Christ, and how he was able to pursue Christ while being in a profession that is filled with the trappings of the world. Come ready to be instructed, challenged, strengthened encouraged alongside other men who want to put sin to death, grow in holiness, and become more faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
BRUCE WARE is a professor of Systematic Theology at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He is the former president of the Evangelical Theology Society (the largest group of Evangelical theologians in the world), and one of the cofounders of the Council of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. Dr. Ware and his wife, Jodi, have been conference speakers at Trinity in past years. They have two daughters.

It is our hope that by God’s grace, we will grow in each of these areas, so that our words and our thoughts might increasingly be pleasing to the Lord.
