Motivation for Missions

Classes began Sunday, February 1,  at 9:30 a.m. in the Upper Room.

What is meant to motivate the church to participate in missions? Why should anyone forsake what is known and go to a foreign land to proclaim the excellencies of Christ? How ought the local church support those they send? Statistics concerning the world’s lostness have spurred many, yet statistics are not how the Bible motivates the church to participate in missions. Instead, the biblical motivation for missions is God. The aim of this class is to grow in knowing God by studying His attributes and understanding that He alone is worthy of worship by all peoples. Examples from past missionaries will be highlighted to show how they rested in God as they took the gospel to the ends of the earth. Come and learn how Trinity Community Church can live out these truths as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission.
