Jacob & Joy Berlin

Ministry Vision

Jacob & Joy and their five children serve in Bangladesh by sharing the Gospel with their Muslim friends and neighbors while also leading a rescue ministry for women and children trapped in brothels and human trafficking. Jacob preaches and encourages local churches. Women are receiving biblical counseling, training, and employment to escape the brothel life while also hearing the Gospel.

About

Jacob, Joy, and their children have lived and served in Bangladesh since 2014. Jacob was encouraged to serve overseas after hearing about Jim Elliot’s story and learning about un-reached people groups. Joy has always desired to serve desperate women and children in another country. Jacob received a Masters of Divinity from Liberty University.

The Berlins are actively engaged in evangelism among the Bengali people group which is one of the largest un-reached people groups in the world. Most of the people they interact with everyday have never heard the Gospel. They meet regularly with believers in local churches to read Scripture, pray, and grow in their faith. The Berlins are also actively involved in rescuing desperate women and children from human trafficking which is prevalent where they live. In addition to rescuing women, they provide biblical counseling, training, and dignified employment while sharing the Gospel.

They partner with local believers to share the Gospel, do Bible studies, engage in prayer times, and teach sound biblical doctrine. Jacob preaches in the surrounding local churches and encourages pastors in their area.
